It doesn’t matter how much your college a course in miracles bookstore cost you because you can never put a dollar amount value on the education that you get by acquiring a four-year degree from any institution in the United States. Whether you get a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree, you can never put a dollar value on it. If anyone tells you that a college degree is not worth anything in today’s economic culture, don’t listen to him or her because they either are jealous or ignorant. Formal education is not only crucial to your livelihood but it also enhances your life, the life of your children and the life of their children.
How you pay for your education depends on many things that you may have control over and some things that you don’t have any control over. Depending on what kind of transcript you create in high school, your economic situation, your ethnic group and your talents, the cost of college education can vary from you paying next to nothing to you paying the full cost of attendance. You can attend your local community college, state colleges or your State Universities to reduce your cost of college education as low as possible. Most students in the United States attend state sponsored colleges or universities. These institutions are for the most part, the best deal in town.
You should consider attending your state institutions because it is the best buy for most Americans. Whenever you attend a state institution in any state other than your home state, you will pay anywhere from $8,000 to $10,000 out-of-state fee which makes no sense unless you are getting a scholarship.
Public vs. private institution cost of attendance is quite large. Your state’s institutions are sponsored by your state government in order to keep the cost of attendance low for instate students. Your state institutions are nonprofit organizations and the private institutions are for profit organizations and because of this reason the cost of attendance at these institutions are currently running anywhere from $35,000 to $55,000 a year.
I am not saying for you not to apply to private institutions but consider applying to your state institutions also. Some times it can be just as inexpensive to attend a private institution as to attend a public institution because the private institutions can offer you a generous financial aid package. Most private institutions are well endowed financially and they can afford to offer you a great financial aid package.
Conquering the cost of education is a personal choice because you will have to choose where can you maximize the most bangs for your buck. For most majors that you will choose, you don’t have to attend a private institution to ensure that you land a good job and this is why I stress that you look at your state institutions for your college education.
It goes without saying that your personal value goes up with the level of education that you attain. College graduates for the most part, make more money than non-college graduates over the span of their careers/lifetime. Not only will you make more money than your non-college graduate counterpart, but also the personal gain from attending college and graduating from college is immeasurable. The amount of money that you will make will equate with the kind of life that you will have.
